- Now you're ready to collect your sample. Please review the Hemp Sampling Instructions (PDF document).
- Complete the Chain of Custody Form (fillable PDF).
- Bring the sample(s) and the Chain of Custody Form to Kansas State University's Olathe campus (22201 W Innovation Drive Olathe, KS 66061) or deliver to the same address by mail.
Typical turnaround time is 3-5 business days for fresh samples and 2-3 business days for dried or prepared products.
The Basic panel (five cannabinoids) is $75 and the Expanded panel (16 cannabinoids) is $105. We also offer moisture content testing of dried samples for $10.
We accept checks and all major credit cards.
Yes! Samples sent through the mail must be delivered by USPS and packaged in accordance with all local, state, and federal guidelines.

Yes! Sample drop-off is accepted on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with an appointment.
KDA will not use the results of our testing for pre-harvest compliance.
The K-State Olathe Analytical Lab is a DEA-certified lab for analytical testing of Cannabis and industrial hemp (DEA Registration Number RK0682256)
In April 2018, the Alternative Crop Research Act was signed into law by Gov. Jeff Colyer. This allows the Kansas Department of Agriculture to oversee the Kansas Industrial Hemp Research Program.
