Our research space
K-State Olathe is outfitted with multiple wet labs for research as well as five test kitchens. Each research lab is 780-square feet in size and has access to an additional 100-square-foot storage closet. K-State Olathe also has reserved approximately 4,000 square feet of unfinished space to accommodate future laboratory research needs.
Whether it's used to help with overflow catering or as the site for a food safety class, K-State Olathe's five kitchens can handle the heat. The kitchen space is designed to help students work on graduate projects, give private entities a place to conduct food-preparation training, help food-based businesses scale up their production and support catering functions.
