Meagan SadlerOLATHE — Meagan Sadler joins Kansas State University's Olathe campus as the director of business and finance services, effective Sept. 19.

Sadler will oversee all aspects of financial management for the campus and also supervise employees in the facilities, security, IT and events management units.

Some of her key duties at the campus include managing revenues, expenditures, payroll, capital improvements, bond issues and banking relationships. She also is tasked with preparing, monitoring and overseeing the annual budget and finances for K-State Olathe and working with the K-State Olathe Board of Directors, Johnson County Education Research Triangle Authority and Board of Regents for approval and reporting of the campus' budget and finances.

"We're very excited to have Meagan join as a part of our campus," said Ben Wolfe, dean and CEO of K-State Olathe. "Meagan's strong background in finance and her leadership roles in the Johnson County government will be beneficial in helping K-State Olathe better strategize for the future. She will provide guidance related to new investments in programs and initiatives that will grow the campus and support the Greater KC workforce."

Before joining K-State Olathe, Sadler served as the Business Operations Division director for the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment for four years. She oversaw the financial and operational functions of the department, developed and monitored the department's county-funded and grant-funded budgets, managed their financial portfolio, led a team of eight in accounting, billing and administrative support, and ensured the department met its financial reporting requirements, among other duties.

Prior to that, she spent more than five years as the treasury accounting supervisor for Johnson County Treasury and Financial Management. She also worked in the private sector as an accounting analyst for Farmers Insurance and in investment accounting at State Street Bank and Trust in Kansas City, Missouri.

Sadler earned her master's in business administration from Emporia State University and her bachelor's in business and finance from the University of Kansas.
