Kansas State University Olathe, Aerotek partner to offer workforce development series

Kansas State University Olathe and Aerotek Scientific have developed a workforce development series for individuals interested in careers in the animal health and food industries. The series will be offered from 5:45 to 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 8, 2014, at K-State Olathe, 22201 W. Innovation Drive.
Topics for the series include resume and curriculum vitae building, interviewing skills, career pathways next steps and the art of networking.
Kansas State University, Merck Animal Health partner to open diagnostic lab at Olathe campus

Kansas State University Olathe is the site of the new Microbial Surveillance Lab, a partnership with Merck Animal Health. The lab will be a second site for the K-State Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, which is based on the Manhattan campus.
Merck Animal Health provided a donation for the development of the Microbial Surveillance Lab at K-State Olathe. The lab will provide diagnostic support services that will initially meet the unique needs of Merck Animal Health, followed by other animal health industry partners.

The symposium will be from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Kansas State University Olathe. It is part of the College of Business Administration's Professional Education Series at K-State Olathe.
K-State Master of Agribusiness offers Tour of Brazilian and Argentine Agribusinesses

Kansas State University’s Master of Agribusiness (MAB) program is offering travel to Brazil and Argentina to learn about the food and agriculture industry in South America. The trip will include professional visits to agricultural and food-related industries. The tour is scheduled for Feb. 14 – March 1, 2014 and is open to anyone with an interest in international agribusiness.
K-State Olathe, College of Engineering offer science-based evening of Halloween fun, learning

Kansas State University's College of Engineering and Kansas State University Olathe are partnering to offer an evening of Halloween-themed activities for elementary students based on science, technology, engineering and math principles, or STEM. Trick or Engineering will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, on the Olathe campus. Registration is required.
