Program Details

Personal Financial Planning is a rapidly growing field and a necessary personal skill in today’s complex financial market. This program offers financial planning courses that satisfy CFP® Board’s education requirement for the CFP®/CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification.

The CFP® is the most prominent credential in the financial advice industry with clear education, exam, ethics and experience requirements. Currently, students earning B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. programs complete this requirement, so this certificate will provide an additional path for learners to sit for their exam.

At least 15 of the required 21 credit hours must be completed at Kansas State University.
