What was your undergraduate degree in?

Microbiology

 

Why did you decide to pursue an applied biosciences master's degree?

I wanted an education that specialized in a more broad aspect of science, technology and interpersonal skills; one that would allow me to build upon my scientific background, teach the newest technological advancements and help me better acknowledge my strengths and weaknesses while working independently and within larger group settings. I wanted a more diverse training that would allow for further advancement in various aspects of my career.

 

How has the degree contributed to your career?

This program has opened doors to positions within management, specialty departments and pilot opportunities that I otherwise would not have had the knowledge or experience. It has allowed me to be considered for positions well beyond what I would have been capable of applying for before gaining my masters in the program.
