The work of Archie Scott Gobber begins with a word or text presented in a signage format, and then he uses color, form, scale and context to influence meaning. Rather than strive to have his work interpreted in just one way, the Warrensburg, Missouri, native prefers to allow viewers to establish meaning through the filter of their own lives and experiences. Gobber holds a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute.
