OLATHE — Kansas State University Olathe is hosting its annual animal health conference Sep. 16-18 that will provide industry professionals with the knowledge and practical skills they need to navigate U.S. Department of Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration compliance.
New this year, attendees also will have the opportunity to dive deep into animal nutrition.
This immersive three-day event is your gateway to expanding your expertise and sharing innovative ideas with a network of professionals dedicated to successful product development.
Agency representatives and industry experts will lead attendees through sessions and case study workshops at the 2025 Animal Health Regulatory Affairs: Pharma | Bio | Nutrition.
Our lineup of session topics includes:
- AAFCO Overview
- Understanding the Regulatory Space
- Panel: Value of Interdisciplinary Approaches to Developing Nutrition Products
- Panel: NexGen Products
- Panel: CRO Selection and Oversight
- A Conversation on the Developing Technology of Monoclonal Antibodies
- Understanding ADUFA and AGDUFA Fees
- CMC Overview
- VICH Jurisdictions
- Understanding Ingredient Approval Pathways
- Clinical Efficacy vs Study Claims
- Licensing New Products Through CVB
- Leveraging Bioassays for Quality Control and Regulatory Consideration in Animal Health Biologics
- Navigating the Regulatory Pathway of Novel Oral Biologics: Scaling a Scientific Discovery into Manufacturing at Scale and Setting up Quality Control
We’ll also have sessions on global efforts and career opportunities for DVMs.
This year, attendees will have the opportunity to pick a conference track that relates to an agency based on their work. Because the USDA and FDA regulate products and biologics designed for animal use, navigating the regulatory space may be challenging for individuals who are new to the industry or whose previous work has centered on human drug development. Our Pharma and Biologics tracks are designed to support attendees who want to dive deeper into these agencies and the work they do.
Alternatively, attendees can choose the Nutrition pathway. In a rapidly changing industry, staying updated on the state of U.S. animal nutrition is no easy task. That's why this year, experts in product development and regulatory pathways are sharing their knowledge.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow your understanding of these agencies plus network with animal health professionals, attend a professional skills course and practice what you’ve learned with a case study workshop, the 2025 Animal Health Regulatory Affairs conference is open for registration.
