Rebecca Soule-Emry named executive associate to the dean and CEO

OLATHE – Rebecca Soule-Emry joins Kansas State University’s Olathe campus as the new executive associate to the dean and CEO, effective Oct. 17.

As a member of the dean’s leadership team, Soule-Emry will ensure progress and communication on issues that affect the Olathe campus and the broader university community. Key duties include strategic scheduling of speaking engagements, coordination of interactions with external constituencies and organization of campus initiatives. Additionally, Soule-Emry will oversee front desk staff.

“We are excited to welcome Rebecca to the K-State Olathe team,” said Ben Wolfe, dean and CEO of K-State Olathe. “With more than 10 years of administrative support experience and a great knowledge of the Olathe school district and community, our campus will greatly benefit with her as the new executive associate. Rebecca’s strategic coordination skills will ensure organization and progress for our campus.”

Before joining K-State Olathe, Soule-Emry was the human resources executive assistant at the Olathe Public School District for five years. She provided administrative support to four human resource department directors and was the point person for 23 department team members. Soule-Emry was responsible for preparing confidential documents, coordinating correspondence and meetings and providing excellent customer service to the district.

Prior to that role, she began at the Olathe school district in 2009 as the secretary assistant of secondary education. She provided administrative support for the principal and two assistant principals.

Soule-Emry was awarded the Classified Employee Excellence Recognition Award for her outstanding service and excellence in job performance during her time at the Olathe school district. She earned her bachelor’s in interior design from Kansas State University.
