New website connects university efforts in urban food systems
Kansas State University is launching an online portal that showcases its far-reaching efforts in urban food systems. The Urban Food Systems Initiative portal connects and highlights all of the university's research, academic programs, people and resources affiliated with urban food systems and the Urban Food Systems Initiative, or UFSI.
K-12 coordinator earns national science-based accreditation
Martha Nowak, K-12 coordinator at Kansas State University's Olathe campus, recently received an OpenSciEd micro-certification through BloomBoard. OpenSciEd is a collaboration among science educators, curriculum developers, teachers and philanthropic foundations to improve science education through the development and use of high-quality, freely available, science instructional materials for K-12 classrooms.
Conference focuses on commercial vehicle safety in Midwest
The 2022 Midwest Commercial Vehicle Safety Summit hosted by Kansas State University Department of Civil Engineering takes place in June. It aims to reduce the number and severity of commercial vehicle crashes in the Midwest through an exchange of ideas.
