Animal Health Corridor Seminar at K-State Olathe looks at contract research organizations

Contract research organizations, or CROs, will be the topic of a Kansas State University Animal Health Corridor Lecture Series seminar at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, on the university's Olathe campus, 22201 W. Innovation Drive.
The seminar will look at selecting, managing and optimizing contract research organization relationships within the animal health industry.
The Animal Health Corridor Lecture Series is an initiative of Animal Health Supply Chain Program offered through the university's department of agricultural economics in partnership with K-State Olathe.
The featured speakers will be Kelly Lechtenberg, president of Midwest Veterinary Services Inc. and Central States Research Centre Inc.; and Linda Rhodes, CEO of Aratana Therapeutics. Lechtenberg's presentation will explore questions and issues surrounding the use of contract research organizations through the production animal perspective, while Rhodes's presentation will focus on the companion animal perspective.
"Many questions surround the use of CROs," Rhodes said. "What do you need to know about finding a CRO? How do you use your CRO once you have established that relationship? How do you optimize the relationship you have with your CRO? These are the types of questions we will explore during this seminar."
Interested participants should register by Tuesday, May 29. Tickets are $50 per person and cover both the seminar and lunch. Group rates are available.
