K-State Olathe's Severns to Participate in "Starting a Food Business" Panel

Food programs and services manager at K-State Olathe, Bryan Severns, will participate in an expert panel on the topic of starting a food business at the Olathe campus, March 24.

The event is targeted to those interested in beginning a culinary retail business in the coming year.

Les Dames d’Escoffier, an international non-profit organization of professional women in the culinary arts have enlisted Severns, Cindy Reynolds of the award-winning Somerset Ridge Vineyard and Winery, and Jane Zieha of the nationally recognized Blue Bird Bistro, as well as a host of Kansas City area food artisans for the event.

Three morning sessions and expert roundtables will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the K-State Olathe Great Plains Room.
