Gaining Ground Webinar Series
This free series is for agriculture educators wishing to gain technical and systems-level information for successful urban food systems practices. Each webinar explores a different topic that is delivered by experts from the urban core, such as urban farmers, nonprofit educators, food policy advocates and government workers.
Growing Growers Workshops
Throughout the year, the Growing Growers program offers workshops on skills required to run a local farm. While the workshops are geared toward beginner farmers, all the classes offer great information and skill development for more experienced farmers. Classes are open to the public and class fees apply.
Urban Food Systems Symposium 2026
Sept. 14-17
This symposium is held every two year. It brings together academic and research-oriented professionals from around the world to share and gain knowledge on urban food systems and the role they play in global food security. The next symposium is Sept. 14-17, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri.
