Brent Mayabb, D.V.M., M.S, is a veterinarian with experience in both private practice and the veterinary industry. He has successfully led high-performing teams both in the U.S. and internationally, focusing on professional outreach, scientific communication, corporate affairs, learning and development, and technical service.
His background includes a strong understanding of public policy related to animal welfare and veterinary medicine, as well as pet food regulations.
Since January 2020, Mayabb has been the Global Chief Medical Officer at Royal Canin, serving as the medical liaison with corporate veterinary clinic groups, veterinary organizations and educational institutions worldwide. He lead the health affairs function, collaborating with various organizations to improve the health of cats and dogs. He works with a global team specializing in professional and veterinary dngagement, scientific communication and digital learning, spanning six countries and 17 time zones.
Mayabb is personally on a mission to help other veterinary professionals with their financial wellbeing. He has completed a master’s degree in personal finance, and he provides education and coaching on various financial topics to make them more approachable and practical for vets, vet techs and vet students.
