Judy Favor, Ph.D.
In the ZONE Inc. founder and CEO Judy Favor, Ph.D., has been developing exceptional leaders and building high-performing teams for more than 25 years. A three-time Hall of Fame former college softball coach, Favor uses lessons learned in athletics to help current, future and new leaders learn or improve their skills to reach their potential. Her practical perspective helps leaders and teams develop deeper levels of awareness, get to the root of issues and challenges that are holding them back and create practical strategies that lead to success.
A dynamic and engaging life-long adult educator, Favor retired from Kansas State University in August 2023 to focus on one-to-one leadership coaching and team development consulting. At K-State, she taught graduate classes focused on the human aspects of effective leadership and was well-known for designing and facilitating interactive, practical classes and educational experiences that matched working professionals' preferences and learning styles.
Favor has created leadership development programs and presented on leadership and team development to diverse audiences and organizations from a variety of technical and non-technical fields, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Army Management Staff College Senior Leader's course, the Inspector Generals Office in Korea and the International Association of Assessing Officers.
Her coaching and leadership experiences combined with academic expertise and research in leadership and team development, executive coaching, adult learning and personality provide a unique and practical perspective in her work with teams and leaders. She particularly enjoys working one-to-one as an executive and leadership coach and is completing International Coaching Federation certification requirements.
