Biography

Izzy Ramirez is a Program Associate at K-State Olathe.

In this role, Ramirez is responsible for providing administrative support for the American Association of Industry Veterinarians (AAIV) and the K-State Olathe campus. She assists the AAIV board of directors with member support, recruitment, marketing and membership activities. Ramirez also maintains the AAIV website and member database. In supporting the K-State Olathe campus, she assists by ordering and maintaining office supply inventory, coordinating and scheduling meetings and events and provides project management support for the Professional and Continuing Education Team and Marketing Team. Additionally, Ramirez serves on the Community Building Committee, whose mission is to bring faculty, staff and students together through education, service, connection, growth and celebration events.

Prior to joining the K-State Olathe team, Ramirez served as an administrative assistant and office receptionist at FosterAdopt Connect in Kansas City, Kansas. Ramirez's duties included providing customer service to clients and guests, collaborating with multiple departments and maintaining inventory. Additionally, she created online courses, designed promotional flyers and handled email correspondence for family trainings. Ramirez also tracked and updated report data for training and child recruitment efforts, and coordinated vendors for video shoots for the Adopt Kansas Kids and Kansas Post Adoption Resource Center programs.

Ramirez holds a B.A. in criminal justice and criminology with a minor in sociology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She lives in the KC Metro area with her husband, son and dog.
