Beth Jones

Communications and Marketing Specialist

Beth Jones is a communications and marketing specialist at K-State Olathe.

Jones develops editorial content and news to support strategic campus initiatives. She plans and writes news releases, develops content for the Olathe campus blog, designs the monthly e-newsletter and manages the Olathe campus social media pages.

Prior to joining the marketing team at K-State, Jones worked in content writing and development, as well as social media management. Her additional work includes developing K-12 and English as a second language curriculum, content creation for major brands, blog management and e-book publication. She also assisted with developing social media strategies and plans for brands across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.

Jones is a published author whose works center on education and ESL, as well as creative writing development for young writers. She has been a featured speaker on the topic of digital publishing at several writing conferences and is a bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy novels for teen and young adult readers.

Jones holds a B.A. in English from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, her A.S. in general studies from Fort Scott Community College, as well as certificates in teaching English as a second language, paralegal studies and biblical counseling.

She is currently pursuing her M.A. in English from Kansas State University.
