Amber Lammers

Amber Lammers is the contracts and grants officer at Kansas State University Olathe. She manages the full fiscal lifecycle of pre- and post-award contracts and grants, overseeing setup of an awarded contract or grant, budget tracking, subaward management and reporting to ensure smooth financial administration, compliance and communication with the funding agencies and K-State Olathe principal investigator(s).

Prior to joining K-State Olathe, Lammers was a program management specialist at the National Bio and Agro-defense Facility in Manhattan, Kansas. Her responsibilities included reviewing proposals and budgets for compliance, coordinating financial and progress reporting and maintaining the organization’s master plan.

Lammers has more than a decade of experience in fiscal operations, project and grant management and higher education administration. She previously served as fiscal and business operations manager for the Interior Region EMS Council in Alaska, overseeing budget development, accounting, grant compliance and human resources. She also worked as a program coordinator at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she advised graduate students, supported academic program development and contributed to accreditation reporting.

Lammers holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in emergency management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She is certified as a Lean Six Sigma yellow belt.
