Greg Musil

Greg MusilGreg Musil is a native Kansan, raised on a farm near Frankfort in northeast Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University (B.S., Political Science 1980), where he served as student body president, and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D., 1983).

Following law school, Musil served on Capitol Hill for four years on the staff of U.S. Senator Nancy Kassebaum Baker. In 1987, began his private law practice in Johnson County and is currently a shareholder with Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile Rhodes, P.C.

Musil's public service includes eight years on the Overland Park City Council and 12 years on the Johnson County Community College Board of Trustees. He chaired the decennial 2021 Johnson County Charter Commission and co-chaired the 2017 Forward Overland Park community-wide visioning committee.

Raised by parents who were committed to community involvement, he has given time and energy to diverse civic and charitable efforts including the Johnson County Community College Some Enchanted Evening Scholarship Gala, the Sunflower House Valentine Gala, the K-State Wabash Cannonball, and the Overland Park Rotary Club. He has contributed as a member of the board of directors of Bethany Medical Center, the Wyandotte Health Foundation, the Kansas Hospital Association, the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce and the Kansas Leadership Center.

A proud attorney who believes in the rule of law, Musil has actively engaged with the legal and lay community to promote judicial integrity and an independent judicial branch of government. In addition to serving his clients, he has received numerous distinctions as a practicing attorney.

Musil is an active member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection and, along with his family, tries hard to count his blessings daily.
