Leo Nunnick

Leo Nunnink has been with UMB Bank for more than 27 years and is currently Senior Vice President Managing the Sales teams for Commercial and Treasury Products for the Kansas City/St. Joseph Markets. Leo and his teams are responsible for developing new commercial relationships as well as managing many of the Banks largest relationships. For much of his career with UMB, Leo developed and managed many of the bank's largest commercial relationships.

A lifelong resident of Johnson County and graduate of Kansas State University, Leo actively displays a commitment to community service. Leo is a graduate of the Centurions Leadership Program for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. His civic engagements include the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 2005-2012 and Overland Park EDC Executive Committee, serving as chair in 2008; the Shawnee EDC Executive Committee serving as chair in 2017; and the Planning Commission for the City of Shawnee, now serving in his second term.

He served on the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation Board from 2015-2021. Leo was a member of the Shawnee Mission Medical Center Foundation Board from 2011-2016 and is a former member of the Blue Valley School District Business and Education Committee. He is a current member of the Johnson County Community College Foundation Board of Directors.

Leo served on the Board of Directors for the Johnson County United Way from 2004-2010, and the Executive Committee from 2007-2009, serving as chair in 2008. Leo also served on the Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee for United Way of Greater Kansas City.

Leo's other community involvement includes various board and executive committee roles for the organizations of Marillac, United Community Services, the American Heart Association and Jazzoo in support of the Kansas City Zoo.

As a passionate alum of KSU, Leo is a member of the Wabash Scholarship Gala Steering Committee and Chaired the event with his wife in 2019. Leo and his wife are current members of the KSU Foundation Board of Trustees, joining in 2019.
