Kevin Honomichl

Kevin Honomichl, P.E., P.S. is CEO of BHC Inc., a civil engineering and surveying firm headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, that he co-founded in 1992. He received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Kansas State University in 1986 and received a master of civil engineering from the University of Kansas.

Honomichl is a graduate of the 2011 class of Leadership Kansas. He served on the Board of Directors of American Council of Engineering Companies - Kansas including a term as National Director and 6 years as the ACEC National Political Action Committee Chair for Kansas. He is currently on the Board of Directors of KCADC, a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Wyandotte County Economic Development Corporation, the incoming Chairman of the De Soto Economic Development Advisory Committee and a Board member of the Johnson County Economic Research Institute. Honomichl served 13 years on the De Soto Planning Commission including three years as Chairman. In 2017, Honomichl was elected to the City Council of De Soto, Kansas, and re-elected in 2021.

He served on the K-State College of Engineering Advisory Council and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the KSU Foundation. Honomichl was previously the Chairman of the Johnson County Education and Research Triangle.

Honomichl resides in De Soto with his wife Dianne. They have a son Mikolas who is in Graduate School at Kansas State University.
