Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Government Affairs, Johnson County Community College
Kate Allen serves as the associate vice president for institutional advancement and government affairs at Johnson County Community College.
In this role, Allen is the executive director for the JCCC Foundation, which involves fundraising for scholarships, programs and various capital projects on campus. She also has oversight of Government Affairs for JCCC, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, the Carlsen Center Performing Arts venue.
Allen has a J.D. from the University of Kansas and an M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska, where she played basketball for the Huskers. She is a 2011 Centurion with the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and a 2013 Ingram's Forty Under 40.
Her community involvement in 2019 will include serving as Board President for United Community Services, Board Treasurer for the Olathe Chamber of Commerce and Vice Chair for the Arts Council of Johnson County.
Allen and her husband, Josh, also an attorney, are residents of Johnson County and have three children, Luke (age 12), Ben (age 10) and Abigail (age 5).
