Policy 2.10: Smoking Policy

K-State Olathe is a tobacco and smoke-free campus. The use of all tobacco products; smoking, to include the use of hookah or other water pipe devices; and vapor electronic cigarettes, are all forbidden on the K-State Olathe campus.

Smoking is a public health and fire hazard. Smoking is prohibited on the K-State Olathe campus in order to prevent infringements upon others and to maintain an environment that is in the best interests of the safety, health and wellbeing of all who use K-State Olathe property.

Campus Security personnel will note violations and violators may be escorted off campus. Violation of Olathe City ordnance 6.20.030 and may lead to a City citation and punishment by fines ranging from $100 - $500.
