Communications and Marketing Director
The Communications and Marketing Director will lead the development and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns to further the mission of the campus, including developing content for a wide range of media to support activities in education, research, engagement and economic development. The director reports to the CEO/Vice Provost and supports internal and external communications with key constituencies.
Associate Dean for Research and Innovation
The Associate Dean for Research and Innovation will lead and promote applied, inter-disciplinary and translational research activities through public/private partnerships. He/she will be a strong liaison in connecting programs and expertise at the Olathe campus with the rest of the University and greater Kansas City region. The successful candidate will have substantial private sector experiences and a terminal degree (Ph.D. or other) with disciplinary expertise in an area related to biological engineering, bio-manufacturing or bio-material sciences.
Ph.D Research Assistantship
A Ph.D. Research Assistantship is available in the Urban Food Production and
Postharvest Handling Lab within the Department of Horticulture Forestry and Recreation Resources. It is on a USDA NIFA-funded research project, focused on post-harvest physical treatments to reduce losses of organic and other locally-grown produce while improving quality and extending shelf life. The overarching goal of this project is to help small acreage, organic growers reduce food losses by implementing pre- and post-harvest practices.

Student Worker: Receptionist and Events Part-time
(10-20 hours per week)
The Student Worker: Receptionist and Events works with the Facility Operations Manager, Events Assistant, Food Program and Services Manager and other Kansas State staff to support planning, promoting, and coordinating meetings, events, classes and conferences and reception duties. This position exposes students to all aspects of event coordination and reception skills at a full-service event facility. It also provides unique opportunities to work directly with food services and programs and facility operations.
