The Associate Dean for Research and Innovation will oversee and promote applied, interdisciplinary and translational research activities at the Olathe campus and strengthen linkages to programs at the Manhattan and Salina campuses and in the greater Kansas City area and beyond. The Associate Dean's position constitutes approximately 50% administrative and 50% research-related responsibilities, and reports directly to the CEO.

Director, Educational Innovation and Strategic Technology

The Director of Educational Innovation and Strategic Technology will oversee, provide direction, promote and contribute to the inclusion of both digital and analog technology as it relates to innovative teaching/learning methodologies. K-State Olathe is dedicated to forging new paradigms of integrated and interdisciplinary learning, research/discovery and engagement through diverse partnerships. The Director will develop and oversee strategic partnerships supporting educational innovation and the strategic use of technology to advance interdisciplinary and cross-generational learning as a hallmark at K-State Olathe, including innovative programming with K-12. S/he will create a prototype demonstration studio lab that will serve as an exemplar of knowledge co-creation strategies linking education and research. Deadline for applications is August 5, 2014

Executive Director, Administration and Finance

The Executive Director for Administration and Finance has responsibility for budget management and forecast, financial and business operations and services, and oversight of AV/IT technology infrastructure. Duties include fiscal operations and procedures related to a diverse, innovative and evolving enterprise involving partnerships in multiple sectors, budget forecasting and management, development and management of contracts, agreements and grants, and operational procedures. Duties also include accounting and reporting related to tuition, fees, space, overhead and other costs and revenue sources. S/he will also supervise personnel and services related to facilities and

Coordinator for Adult Education, Department of Educational Leadership

The successful candidate will facilitate recruitment of students and coordination of the online and face-­‐to-­‐face (Ft. Leavenworth and K-­‐State Olathe) deliveries of Adult Education Master’s and Doctoral Degree Programs.This position will also provide administrative support for the Program Assessment Director. This full-­‐time position will have responsibilities at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and K-­‐State Olathe. Applicants should consult the complete job description that describes the responsibilities. Ph.D Research Assistantship

A Ph.D. Research Assistantship is available in the Urban Food Production and
Postharvest Handling Lab within the Department of Horticulture Forestry and Recreation Resources. It is on a USDA NIFA-funded research project, focused on post-harvest physical treatments to reduce losses of organic and other locally-grown produce while improving quality and extending shelf life. The overarching goal of this project is to help small acreage, organic growers reduce food losses by implementing pre- and post-harvest practices.

Information Technology Student Assistant (Part-time 15 to 20 hours)

The Information Technology Student Assistant works directly with the Micro Computer Support Technician, Events Coordinator and Facility Operations Manager, and other K-State Olathe staff to support audiovisual and technology needs.  Must be able to cover daytime hours, as well as evening and weekend classes and events.

Student Opportunities

Events Student Worker/Intern Part-time (10-20
per week)

The Events Student Worker/Intern works with the Facility Operations Manager, Events Assistant, Food Program and Services Manager and other Kansas State staff to support planning, promoting, and coordinating meetings, events, classes and conferences.  This position exposes students to all aspects of event coordination and reception skills at a full-service event facility.  It also provides unique opportunities to work directly with food services and programs and facility operations.
