Beth Jones

Communications and Marketing Specialist

Beth Jones is a communications and marketing specialist at K-State Olathe.

Jones develops editorial content and news to support strategic campus initiatives. She plans and writes news releases, develops content for the Olathe campus blog, designs the monthly e-newsletter and manages the Olathe campus social media pages.

Prior to joining the marketing team at K-State, Jones worked in content writing and development, as well as social media management. Her additional work includes developing K-12 and English as a second language curriculum, content creation for major brands, blog management and e-book publication. She also assisted with developing social media strategies and plans for brands across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.

Jones is a published author whose works center on education and ESL, as well as creative writing development for young writers. She has been a featured speaker on the topic of digital publishing at several writing conferences and is a bestselling author of science fiction and fantasy novels for teen and young adult readers.

Jones holds a B.A. in English from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, her A.S. in general studies from Fort Scott Community College, as well as certificates in teaching English as a second language, paralegal studies and biblical counseling. She also holds certificates in social media marketing and inbound marketing from HubSpot Academy.

She is currently pursuing her M.A. in English from Kansas State University.
