FARMS
K-State offers many opportunities for hands-on, immersive learning. For the Urban Food Systems Initiative, it's important that our students have a chance to get some dirt under their fingernails! They can learn to graft, grow and harvest fresh produce at two university locations.

OHREC
Located in rural Johnson County, Kansas, the Olathe Horticulture Research and Extension Center is 342 acres of land that serves as space for students to conduct hands-on, plant- and produce-related research.

Willow Lake
The Willow Lake Student Farm is located about 5 miles north of the Manhattan campus and serves as a research and production specialty crop operation. The farm has 7 acres in production and is managed by K-State staff, students and volunteers.
