Tim Pullin
Captain Tim Pullin, who has served in law enforcement for more than 35 years, was appointed commander of the motor carrier safety unit of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Department of Public Safety on January 18, 2022. Pullin began his law enforcement career with the Montgomery Police Department in December of 1986. While at the Montgomery Police Department, Pullin served in several different positions to include patrolman, motor officer and traffic homicide investigator. In November 1996, he began the Trooper Academy at the Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center in Selma and has since served in the highway patrol division as a field supervisor, post commander, troop commander and motor carrier unit commander. In February of 2015, Pullin became the first highway patrol division chief under the newly formed Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. In September of 2015, Pullin was appointed as assistant director of the Department of Public Safety under then Governor Robert Bentley. Following his tenure as assistant director, Pullin was reassigned to the highway patrol division. In addition to his various rolls within public safety, Pullin has served on a variety of committees to include serving as vice chair, region II of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. Pullin is married to his wife of thirty years, Tammy Pullin and resides in Prattville, Alabama. He has two beautiful daughters, Kelli and Kaylee. Pullin and Tammy are the proud grandparents of Parker and Payton Poole. When Pullin is not in uniform, he enjoys hunting, spending time at Lake Martin and being surrounded by family and friends.
