Zachary Hans, P.E.

Zachary Hans, P.E., is the director of the Center for Weather Impacts on Mobility and Safety (CWIMS) and a senior research engineer at the Institute for Transportation (InTrans) at Iowa State University.

Zach, a professional engineer licensed in Iowa, has more than 26 years of experience in transportation engineering, working in the areas of traffic safety, operations, planning and enforcement.

He been part of the United States Road Assessment (usRAP) technical team since its inception in 2004 and also supports the FHWA Aurora pooled fund.
