Thomas Weakley

Thomas Weakley is director of Operations, Owner-Operator Independent Driver's Association Foundation Inc. (OOFI) for 17 years. There, he maintains a CDL with Tanker and Hazardous Material endorsements.

Mr. Weakley has been in some form of trucking for over 40 years, including driver doing pedal runs, less-than-truck load (LTL), truck load (TL), hazardous material hauler and hazardous material trainer; fleet owner; and manager of hazardous material Transportation Distribution and Storage Facility for six states.

Mr. Weakley maintains active membership in the National Defense Transportation Association, Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Science , North American Council on Freight Efficiency, Research Advisory Committee to the American Transportation Research Institute, lead instructor for the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Business Seminar, Transportation Regulatory Advisory Committee to ARB of California, Transportation Workers Utility Sector Council, and the Trucking Industry Mobility and Technology Coalition.
