Matt O’Keefe, Ph.D.

Matt O'Keefe, Ph.D., serves as Dean and LeRoy C, and Aileen H. Pasley Chair in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering at Kansas State University. Previous academic appointments were at the University of Mississippi and Missouri S&T. He has also worked at the Air Force Research Lab and AT&T Bell Laboratories.

His research efforts focus on the deposition and characterization of thin films and coatings and is a fellow of ASM International.

He has a bachelor’s of science degree from Missouri S&T and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, both in metallurgical engineering.
