Martha Kapitanov

Martha KapitanovMartha C. Kapitanov is currently a Transportation Specialist on the FHWA-Headquarters Work Zone Management Team.

Ms. Kapitanov has worked for FHWA for over 20 years, and in her current capacity she provides leadership and guidance to the development and implementation of effective work zone management practices and innovations.

Martha is the FHWA lead for the development of a National Work Zone Safety Strategic Plan and the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety in Work Zones initiative.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico.
