STEM Summer Camps

Camps for Middle School Students

This summer, K-State's Olathe campus is offering a virtual four-day summer camp designed to support STEM-based knowledge in a fun and safe environment.

Camps and content are designed for students entering sixth grade through students leaving eighth grade.

Fun with Food Science: Baking

Do you like to bake (and eat)? This camp is for the curious junior scientist who wants to know the how and why of food science through the world of baking. We will explore the crazy science behind food and the way we taste it. Through zoom interactions with our KSU food professionals, participants will learn the secrets of making the perfect pizza and the yummiest desserts. We also will answer the question: What makes bread taste so good and why does it rise?

Time
9 a.m. to noon | Monday through Thursday

Location

Cost
$25 (includes a T-shirt)
