Janice Barrow

Janice Barrow joined K-State in January 2015 as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Executive Education. In this role she oversees and advances the Olathe campus on a variety of fronts including academic and professional education programming, faculty development, and student services, as well as supporting philanthropic and resource development.

Dr. Barrow came to K-State with several years of experience in industry and higher education. She spent the past ten years building and managing Graduate, Professional, and Executive Education Programs in the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University. At Coles she designed and executed open enrollment and in-house/customized programs with multinational corporations such as AT&T and GE Capital, utilizing synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods. Dr. Barrow was also part of the curriculum team responsible for designing and managing the Executive MBA program that was ranked "among the top 25 tier one programs in North America" by CEO Magazine. She has served as the Editor for the Journal of Executive Education, as well as Founder and Chair of the Annual Symposium on Executive Education with local, national and international participants representing institutions such as Harvard, Northeastern, IPADE (Mexico), and as far afield as Germany.

Most recently, as part of her service activities, Dr. Barrow was the Founding President for an Atlanta based chamber of commerce, putting together a board of 23 founding directors made up of community leaders, business owners, business professionals, and members of civic associations. The first non-founding member was Hartsfield Atlanta Airport, the world's busiest airport. Before joining Coles, Dr. Barrow served as Head of School (Associate Dean) of the School of Business Administration at the University of Technology, Jamaica W.I., as a Business Feasibility Consultant, and the CEO/Managing Professor for a professional development and work experience evaluation firm.
